Expat is a filmmaking duo that tells fundamentally human stories in an unapologetically visceral, raw and instinctive style. Combining years of commercial production experience, a love of cinema and a passion for truth, Expat makes films that span a variety of subject matters, with the aim of bringing our most elusive emotions to the forefront. A little punk rock, a little improvisational and very much a vibe that celebrates life’s unscripted and fleeting moments with a high level of craft in storytelling. Their films spark imagination, invite contemplation and ultimately engage on a deeper level of our psyches and souls. Their style explores what is real, what is honest and what is existential, with an unflinching approach grounded in eliciting genuine feelings in each viewer.
